Our Crafted Path

This is a thoughtfully designed sample itinerary that highlights the distinct culture, history, and magnificent natural beauty of Iran's northern provinces. The route focuses on blending key historical sites with immersive natural experiences, ensuring a balanced and enriching Iran cultural journey away from the classic routes.

Day 1 – Tehran Arrival

Arrive at IKA, meet your guide, and transfer to your hotel. Depending on the arrival time, enjoy a brief exploration of the Golestan Palace (UNESCO site).

Day 2 – Qazvin – Alamut Valley

Depart Tehran for Qazvin. Visit the Safavid-era Chehel Sotoun Palace and the sprawling Sa'd al-Saltaneh Caravanserai before driving towards the famous Alamut Valley.

Day 3 – Alamut Exploration & Drive to Rasht

Hike to the ruins of the famous Alamut Castle, the former stronghold of the Assassins, enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery. Continue the journey towards Rasht in the Gilan province.

Day 4 – Rasht & Masouleh Village

Explore Rasht's local life, including the vibrant central bazaar and the Rural Heritage Museum of Gilan, which showcases local architecture and customs. Drive to the unique stepped village of Masouleh for the overnight stay.

Day 5 – Masouleh to Bandar-e Anzali

Spend the morning walking through the alleys and enjoying the atmosphere of Masouleh. Drive to the coastal city of Bandar-e Anzali, exploring the Anzali Lagoon by boat.

Day 6 – Astara & Ardebil

Follow the scenic coastal road towards Astara, a border town with unique cross-cultural influences. Continue inland over the mountains to Ardebil for a shift in climate and culture.

Day 7 – Ardebil & Sarein

Visit the Sheikh Safi al-Din Khānegāh and Shrine Ensemble (UNESCO site) in Ardebil. Later, travel to the nearby town of Sarein, known for its therapeutic natural hot springs.

Day 8 – Return to Zanjan

Drive south, passing through mountain roads, to Zanjan. Visit the extraordinary Soltaniyeh Dome (UNESCO site), one of the largest brick domes in the world, and explore the Zanjan Laundry House.

Day 9 – Zanjan to Tehran

Visit Zanjan's bustling and beautiful traditional bazaar before commencing the drive back towards the capital city of Tehran. Enjoy a final group dinner.

Day 10 – Tehran Departure

Transfer to Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) for your onward flight, concluding your North Iran journey.
